Lyric Miller - Creative Director

Lyric is a 21-year-old fashion design and production graduate from New Haven, CT. She earned her degree from Lasell University in 2025. In Fall 2023, she studied abroad at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy, where she gained international design experience and creative inspiration that deeply influenced her recent work.

Her love for fashion began in childhood, when she joyfully styled herself, her dolls, siblings, and even her parents. It was the local designers who mentored her through the Pure Noire Modeling Coterie that truly inspired her to pursue fashion seriously. Lyric felt a personal connection with the designers since according to her, the designers were “cool, fun, and creative” just like her! 

History of Lyric Chaya

At just 9 years old, Lyric debuted her first runway collection under the name Lyric Chaya Couture at the Pure Noire summer fashion show in August 2014. Her early designs, inspired by 90s and Y2K fashion, laid the foundation for her sporty streetwear brand Lyric Chaya. One of her standout and favorite pieces, the varsity jacket, remains her most popular design to this day.

Her work quickly gained recognition. In 2016, she received the “Entrepreneurship Award for Excellence in Business and Professionalism” from Philadelphia Kids Fashion Week and was interviewed by The Chat It Up Show in 2017. That same year, she launched her second clothing line, Nerdy Chic, a vibrant fusion of preppy style and urban flair known for its bold colors, patterns, and fabrics.

Over the past few years, Lyric has participated in fashion shows and pop-up shops. In 2023, she launched Lyric Chaya Sport while studying in Milan. Most recently, her senior collection Rush Hour, a bold, feminine, city-inspired line, debuted on the Lasell University 2025 Runway. It was also reimagined through a campaign video, photoshoot, and a 20-page magazine, now available for purchase.

Now, after over 12 years of evolving as a designer and storyteller, Lyric is proud to continue her journey under the refreshed brand name Lyric Chaya.
